Oh, so you shoot porn? It took some deep thinking to figure out what I wanted to write about this mentality and incorrect opinion about my photographs. And in this, I have to think and consider whether I'll just be wasting my time and breath to explain the vast differences between what I do vs what certain individuals think I do. But, this post will be important to me, so have at it. There are many, many different styles in photography, BOUDIOR, IMPLIED, GLAMOUR, FASHION, NUDE, and PORTRAIT images, the list goes on and on. I have tried to mix up my work, feeling it out and finding what I find comfortable to do, what I find expressive and what boosts my own confidence to thrive. I will not apologize for being comfortable in my own skin. I will not apologize for the power it gives me. Your reaction? While I appreciate the support, anything otherwise I could care less. But that's it, everything I do is my own choosing. I don't do this for anyone but myself. If I feel comfortable, and if all is ethical and consensual, who are you to shame me? And that's exactly what you've done. Who are you to have an opinion or judge me? Who are you to demean what I do? Who are you to shame my artistic outlet that has brought me joy and a confidence that I never knew I had? Do you not understand the difference in what I do vs mainstream porn? Really? In this day, you can't differentiate art and the deeper meaning in this genre of photography from the porn industry? And then I wonder if this is because you know me? If I were just another model online sharing the same style images, would you assume the same? Is Victoria's Secret porn in your eyes? Those who are saying porn...have you ever seen a porn...of any kind? This is the stigma that women and men in this industry have to worry about when doing a shoot and this is why more than half the sessions people shoot remain private, hidden, quiet. Some people will look at my photos and immediately think porn, while others will look at what I do and instantly think art, female empowerment and confidence building. So, let's note the differences for the people in the back, the ones with big mouths and small minds...
